Shooting fundaments are universal. However there are several physiological differences between men and women. Many of these differences dramatically affect proper shooting technique.

First, class offers general recommendations on handgun safety and weapon selection. Special attention is given to intended use and personal comfort. Common issues in handling and suggestions for work-arounds are emphasized.

Then we address physical aspects of shooting and why it may differ between the genders. Compare and contrast anatomy of grip, aim, stance, presentation and more. Engage in demonstrations of shooting technique and learn the importance of biomechanical function in handling a firearm.

Finally, practice shooting techniques during a live-fire session at a private indoor shooting facility. Students are welcome to bring their own gun(s) to class for practice. Vixen also provides guns, ranging from .22 caliber to .45 caliber, in both pistols and revolvers. There is no range fee.
