It’s that time of year again – the temps get warm, the kids are out of school and everyone would rather be inside than trapped indoors taking a class.
We get it.
When the cabin is calling, you gotta get out on the lake. So for July and August, we’re lowering the starting cost of private classes to $125/person. Sometimes doing it privately can make the time pass quicker or at least count as part of the bonding experience on a family outing. Cool Campaigns
Those who follow Vixen know, we try to stay away from politics. This will be a rare departure. Vixen owner, Stephanie, is running for local office with the county board. Because the campaign may affect class schedules through the summer and early fall, we’re including the announcement here.
My name is Stephanie Aronson and I am running for Isanti County Commissioner in District 5. I’ve lived in Isanti County much of my life and have spent the last dozen years building my business (Vixen Defense) on Main Street in the city of Isanti.
For those who don’t know me already, I am passionate about politics, especially at the local level. I find it concerning how many people are left behind, ignored, underrepresented or outright excluded in all aspects of life. Whether it’s social, economic or political, entire groups of people are often sidelined because of circumstances beyond their control. There is an old saying that the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and that may well be true. I’m more interested in checking on the other tires and making sure the car itself is running well.
So I want to know what’s important to you. I want to know how I can best serve, and who out there maybe hasn’t felt heard. I want you to know that as a candidate, I’m accessible and ready to listen, not lecture.
I’ll be out and about in the community a lot this summer—my calendar is on the website and will show where you can find me for an in person chat—and I’m here to learn how I can do right by the people of Isanti County.
